QLD: Fisherman killed in trawler sinking

BRISBANE, April 15 AAP - A fisherman was killed and a boat was sunk when two trawlers
collided in Moreton Bay off Brisbane late this morning.

The dead man was aged in his 50s but it was not known if he was killed in the collision or
if he drowned, a police spokesman said.

One of the fishing trawlers sunk off Redcliffe and the other, which was damaged, had been
towed by the water police launch P G Kidd to the Scarborough boat harbour.

The spokesman said it was not known if any others were injured.

The body of the dead man had been recovered but his name had not yet been released, police
said.
